More LMB in Central Florida

We caught two nice large mouth bass this week. The first one was 6 lb 4 ounces and the second one was 6 lb 11 ounces. Big fish have to go back in the water but the second fish swallowed the hook so bad that he didn’t make it, so we had to keep him. It’s been a good week and the weather is starting to warm up. So it’s all good in central Florida.

We tried shiners a few times but we’ve had better luck with the worms so we don’t waste our money on shiners anymore.

When you said one swallowed the hook, I presumed you were bait fishing. Try flattening the barbs down on your worm hooks, it makes for easier removal. Watermelon /Red flake is my go to color up here as well.

That is my go to color also
here in lakes that I fish.
I was told that the young crawl fish are that color all I know I'll go thought 10 or 15 bages of them ,and I buy the Zoom brand there are 20 in a bag and use the 6 or 7inch size and also the ribbon tail style. Hope all is good dieing to get my boat and fish.

It definitely works for me Andy. We're doing good, I hope all is well with you and yours. Mother Nature is sure dragging out the crappy weather this year. Hopefully yours and ours will mellow out soon, and we all can get back to fishing.
