Years ago, I read an article about a walleye bite in western Mass starting in March. Any info from anyone that may have fished these guys?
The Connecticut River, supposedly still has walleye in it. Itβs the only place I know that you can still find them. And, they are few and far between. Itβs a program started, but never took off.

πππ, Iβve always wanted to try and get one. Itβs a long, wide river. I donβt where to start. I hunt mostly northern pike and tiger Muskie. So, I use Rapala Tail Dancers a lot. Trolling at 3-5mph. Walleyes love them.
Supposedly they started a program at Quabbin reservoir. I remember seeing the gold pins, when I was young. But havenβt heard of any lately. I also have not looked in years. Always check the gold pin page. They have to say where it was caught. But, some lie. Hehe.
