Sorry I'm not from your area but any lake that has crappie you can catch them from the bank. find the cover or shallow water goes to deep water quickly. you might have to adjust your Baits up-and-down under a Bobber remember crappie fish up. Small minnows under a bobber work 👍. Good luck and share your pics

Most of the ones I’ve caught were in a boat at the north end of El Capitan resevoir.

Probably ten years ago, before the drought for sure! Hopefully the lakes will bounce back. Love to see Henshaw full again. It was a crappie haven,

25 years I caught some crappie at Sutherland. And caught a 3.5 crappie fishing for bass at the north end of el cap on a live shiner from a bass boat fishing for bass.
