Hey there everyone and thanks for having me. First I want to say Happy Birthday to those out there enjoying a Bday. My name is Jeremy Waters and I am located in Wenatchee WA and I am just this year going to start figuring out the smallest in this area. I am a bank and Kayak angler. I would love to hear if anyone has fished for smallies around here and what kind of success they are having and with what. Lol, if that is asking too much, I would love to hear if anyone is at least targeting them locally. Thanks again for having me.

You are so close to many lakes that have great smallmouth fishing. As a kayaker, I would be looking in that direction.
Lake Chelan is outstanding, plus you can add some kokanee for dinner. I have never fished that part of the river. I hope you get more input.

Oh I'm aware of the great lakes we have around hear but it's that I am going to target smallies on the Columbia River this year. I live on the River pretty much and just never really pushed for smallies. It should be challenging and that's what I love about this sport. I'm always learning and digging for knowledge. If anyone has targeted them around the Wenatchee area I would love to hear about it.

Hi Jeremy and Welcome to the form.

You are in some of the best Bass fishing in the state with you living in the Wenatchee area. I have not fished that area for years but have fond memories from growing up on that side of the state. I have never fished the Columbia in your area for Bass. However, I have fished for Bass a bunch in Moses Lake, The Potholes, Scooteney Reservoir, Winchester Wasteway, and the many of the small lakes in your area. I am sure that someone will chime in with more current and up to date knowledge of the area.

Good Luck,

Jim Bradbury

HI I suggest you look around Plymouth and Patterson there are several places to launch or bank fish and also some inlets and islands along the shore that provide great places for them
