I grew up in Alaska, fishing for anything I could catch! I've fished Lake Ontario for about 10 years. I've hooked steelhead, lake trout & kings. It's like night & day... Even though I trolled many rivers & tributaries, but still haven't had very much luck. Despite NK Spoons & Atomic Flies. Can anyone tell me what om doing wrong? I'd be grateful!

Do you have a temperature and speed sensor ? Lake Ontario fish stay in temperature and it varies with depth sometimes 100 ft down and when get deeper speed down there is different than boat speed.

I have fished Lake Ontario via trolling. Have used Flashers with three to four-foot leaders and a spoon on the end. Have caught up to 40lb Kings, brown trout, and rainbows too. Fished the Salmon and Pulaski rivers in the Fall run. CRAZY! I have lost more than I have landed.

also retired navy woukld be glad to go out with you , in auburn,ny right now and the spring browns are in full swing
