That's what sportsmanship is all about, the future of our kids and grandkids besides the big ones are not good to eat.πŸ˜‚

Last year I told you all about a forgotten pond that I found. Well it's been a while and I decided to go back and check it out. On my 5th cast I nailed this beast. Just over 11 lb. I caught a couple fours and caught a couple five but this one.... It's my third 10 lb+ Bass,,, but this one definitely fought the hardest.

Just a little tip about little ponds with fish like that, you can completely screw up the dynamics of the pond by taking the big ones out. I used to refuse to let people fish in a pond if they took anything over 2-1/2 pounds out, I encouraged people to take as many of the under 2 pounders out as possible so the pond didn't get inundated with high numbers of smaller fish, there were some out to 8 pounds or so we were catching.

WOW, what a beast! Congrats! A double digit largemouth is on my bucket list. Since I moved back to western Colorado from Austin, TX my odds of that are slim. Guess my PB is gonna stay at 24" 8.5 lbs.

Safe to say you did not release it, given that there have been a few comments?
