Hi, The two places that can possibly answer this is https://thanagan.com/items/Fishing-Lures/list.htm they specialize in making wood lures. I bought a couple casting eggs from them. They could answer this I'm sure. And another place is https://www.jannsnetcraft.com/?gclid=CjwKCAiA8qLvBRAbEiwAE_ZzPfComuD3OwJmWaTN1VGmW8ZFj-jnzkZXFKCvIVuaPv-5AIZBTfMpwBoCXCAQAvD_BwE buy something small and as a new customer they will send you a free catalog.

They sell just about everything to make your own lures. I'm sure they have a customer support line that will help you...

Several guys use 5 min clear epoxy (such as Devcon). The type you get at the hardware in the dual syringe. Just mix and brush on. Self levels and dries fast. Nice deep finish.

Devcon two ton is what I’ve been using I also built a lure turner out of a rotisserie grill motor I was wondering what others use I like to try different stuff.

I also use Devcon 2 ton. 30 minutes to tack free, 24 hours to complete cure, but not as brittle as the 5 minute Devcon. Best results if you use a rod turning motorized chuck. This evens the epoxy uniformly around you lure until it sets up, about 1 hour. Beats turning by hand! You will have to make a rig to hold your lure firmly in place. I use a piece of rod blank from a broken rod with an alligator clip glued on the end and two round magnets (14 pound strength) to prevent a lure from flopping around or slipping out of position on the alligator clip while rotating. Cheers!

I have found you should shop around for all your components. I find Barlow's tackle has the best price on most things. If you get into pouring your own lures, Barlow's has a better price on do-it molds then do-it does. Just search Barlow's tackle and watch your prices. Barlow's has them around 36 bucks on average but Jann's netcraft has and average price of 45 bucks nut Jann's is cheaper on their vinyl paint. Just saying to be careful when you buy components because there is such a difference between companies selling lure components.
