Not in Florida Papa Jack a lease needs to be over 10 lbs. down here or you will be kinda laughed at, I know up north they don't get as big. Need to come down and get you one of these big mouth bass, just take a picture of it and measure it and put her back to keep having babies.
Most of the taxidermist don't want the fish just the picture and measure.

I understand I should have said if I caught an eight pounder in Indiana I would have it mounted. We catch many 5/6 pound fish but an eight pounder is not unheard of just rare

If you know what lake's to fish around central Florida you have a good chance to catch a 10 pounder or larger.
All of them have lots of bass in them but some are better than others..most people fish with shiners to catch the big ones, but most of us real sports fisherman are not going to bait them like lots of deer hunter do with corn, just not sportsman's ship and then you got to lie about it when you're asked what you caught it on😂 that's just my opinion, so if that's the only way they can catch them so be it.....
