Hi all. Fairly new to the forum. Avid fisherman but still have plenty to learn at 28. Was wondering what size weights are recommended for river fishing targeting catfish?. I fish primarily lakes and have used nothing above 1oz egg sinkers. Looking to get out on the river in my new jon boat this year. Any advice is much appreciated

Hey Jeffco. Franklin Co here. I normally don’t fish for cats but when I was young we would use 1 to 2 oz egg sinkers. Your weight just has to hold the bait down in the current.
