Yep. Voo Doo black magic. Very bad 😉
You might slip on the peel while walking under a ladder and fall on an open umbrella in the galley 😳

How’s everyone doing during this Long Winter? I was wondering if anybody ever heard that taking bananas on a boat is bad luck for fishing, we were in St. Thomas on a charter boat and we packed a few sandwiches and we had bananas also. Well the captain had a fit about bananas on his boat about it brings very bad luck, I never heard that in all my fishing days. Did any of you ever hear about that ? Tight lines to all.
Not only bananas but bringing some kind of fish, like tuna fish sandwiches is taboo also😎👍

People who believe in superstition must not believe in God. Nowhere in the scriptures does it say we should believe in foolish superstitions. The guide Bob Reese in Oregon loves bananas as much as I do. He ate a banana on a day when the boat limited out for Coho salmon and he through the peel in the water.
Wow!! Now it’s gotten to the point that YOU Question another’s faith in the Lord Really? How does a simple enjoyable topic go so far off base?
Never bananas on boat why? Bad luck why? Always been way it is here in Alaska I’ve been on a boat no bites for an hour or more when we knew damn well we were on halibut. Ralph pulls a banana out we grabbed and threw to the sea. Moved and limited out in two hours Whether fishing or not. Never bananas on the boat! Bad karma!
How silly !
The same folks who worry about bananas on a boat........lift their feet going over RR tracks, hold their breath going past a graveyard, never step on a crack in a sidewalk, never walk under a ladder, hate seeing a black cat cross in front of them, wish upon a star, make a wish before blowing out birthday candles, throw a pinch of salt over their shoulder if they knock over the shaker, have "lucky numbers"......and on and on and on.....
Hehehe...they waste more time than I did...typing all this !!
NOTE TO SELF: Menu for fishing trip this weekend..... fried chicken and/or tuna sandwiches, bananas and grapes for snacking. Since she's coming fishing, along with my buddy's wife, my girlfriend will pack it all up for us.
I have heard this a couple of times. I was on a charter on Lake Erie once and the captain had a sign posted no bananas allowed on board. Talked to him about it and he was very serious about not having bananas on his boat. BY the way none of us did.

Don't know about bananas, but my ex packed tuna salad sandwiches once when i went fishing. Tuna. 14 foot aluminum boat, PacificOcean swells.....yeah, no tuna for me anymore. At least not while fishing on the big blue!

Fish 1 I know about it but never worried about it. My boat my menu 🤣. I don't worry about black cats broken mirrors or stepping on cracks. To each his own 👍🎣
black cats, broken mirrors and bananas no big deal, but do you really want to step on a crack and break your mother's back?
Bananas are frowned upon on some or prohibited on some Jersey shore party boats.

So...you're gonna blame your lack of angling success on a Charlie the Tuna sandwich, rather than.......the INEXPLICABLY UNWISE thought-pattern of heading out into the OCEAN.....IN A 14' ALUMINUM BOAT ??????
Trying your best to tempt fate, were you ?
Hehehe.....probably gonna have to pass on offering any advice regarding this scenario....not sure if it would "take"....sorry.

Bananas aren't bad but X-mother-in-laws are real bad luck
