Grease it up off the side of your nose that way the 2 piece comes apart easier 🤪. Some shooters rubbed the tip of their bullet on a side of their nose to grease it up they think it flies truer that way 🤣🤣🤣

That's how loyality is built bk. A no brainer unless people abuse the program, which you were more than honest about.

I decided to check out Fenwick after all this positive buzz….are they more freshwater ? Even their heaviest rods have a max line weight of 20 lbs

A fisherman showed me the nose thing. Hunted a bunch too but we were always clean to avoid scent spoiling our hunt. I guess some of the old school guys with the use your grease idea didn't take showers daily.

Not sure Danger, never checked on their saltwater offerings. The only saltwater rods I’ve got are St. Croix’s, not been out on the salt for a while since my buddy lost his Mako in a divorce settlement.

I had a very similar experience with Fenwick. The mkdel(which I can’t remember) broke 3 different times, each time they replied it. The third time with a rod I had for 2/ years, I favorite rod of all time. I broke itnlasbyear on a trip to Maine. I left it there. I will be buying a Fenwick replacement.

You can clean all you want to Jeremy your body still has a smell thats why ya play the wind. Some have more oily skin. I believe I said shooter to not hunter's

I had a similar experience with Lew's. I was putting my brand new Lew's spinning rod in the back seat of my crew cab and accidentally broke the tip off of it. I had never used the rod, and wrote a note to Lew's asking to buy a replacement because none of my local retailers had the same model. They sent a new one with no questions asked, and that's not what I was angling for, because it was my bone-headed error that broke the rod. I'll always buy Lew's from now on if possible....

I’ve been using Fenwick rods for probably 50 years including blanks when then still sold them.
The motto was, “I’m a Fenwick Man”. I still am.
