Nice andys, went out to give it a try myself today but the local waters all were covered with skim ice.

A small boy named Anthony I think. I thought that was illegal now 😳

Wow! I thought all fishermen knew what a Tony was.

Is that a β€œlocal” or homemade spoon/jig?

It is a Tony Accetta Spoon. You can buy them in any good tackle shops.

Tony Accetta Pet spoon. I've used the bigger ones in saltwater.
I think they're owned by Luhr Jensen now.

They're now owned by Rapala. Rapala bought Luhr Jensen.

It never ends does it Rob? I'm surprised that Pure Fishing hasn't bought Rapala yet.

I used to use the larger Tony for trolling in the Chesapeake Bay. It was back in the 70’s. I’m getting a little senile in my advanced age, but I think we used to attach a 12” length surgical tubing to it. It was good for Rock(stripers) and Blues.

Yes it was #21 Tony's or Surgical Hose back then.

I've caught everything from tiny Spot to large tuna and wahoo on different sized Tony Acetta spoons. My wife murders White perch with a #13 TA spoon.

Nope! Reminds me of the Johnson silver minnow with that fixed hook. Tony did a good job.

I just bought a little Tony Spoon with yellow feather. First time I used it. I think it was two mornings ago I caught a few bass casting and jigging it. I will try on the white perch in May.

Is Ace Tony Acetta also? I've got a couple metal bill plugs out back I think called ACE.
