I use gulp minnows and grubs and do pretty good with both….not so good with their other products….no luck at all with the sand fleas, or gulp shrimp…..A couple summers ago while surf fishing i tried gulp bloodworms..had no bites or action at all either….not sure why some work better than others.

Thanks, will give them a try this year on trout and pan fish

Hello from Stilltrying, Ft. Worth,Tx.
I purchased bottle of Berkeley’s
Gulp minnows and actually caught crappies with them, probably any bait would have worked that morning.
Tuff minnows, had several left over, screwed cap back on and went home. Next week small jar was out of juice.
Bought refil and refilled jar. One week later all gone again.
Where it goes I can’t tell.
Wife, a nurse, brought home a urine sample cup. Transferred minnows and refil liquid and all is well. No leaks after 2 fishing trips. Saves $$$, works great.
Pharmacy has these cups.

Thanks for the good information ST. I appreciate it.

Gulp alive containers need to stay upright and I don’t take off the under cap seal. I only peel back what I need and keep it on.It seems to work. Geez why would I go to Walmart or Dicks to buy real worms. Between where I live and the 15 miles to my fav lake, there have to be -a dozen places selling bait ( night-crawlers, trout worms and red worms) If they aren’t fresh then I move on to the next . But so many places I fish for trout are C&R only or have two fish creel limits live bait is just bad . Trout gulp down live bait resulting in gut hooking which makes C&R tough. Gulp helps because I find is not gutted as often .

Keep the liners on the bottles and screw them down tight

here catch and release restriction also comes with no bait which includes scent which Gulp would be considered a scent bait and couldn't be used. the lake i fish for trout at you can use bait or scent bait but release or not the fish counts towards your daily limit while fish caught on artificial with out scent don't count towards daily limit if released

The Gulp Alive red worms/red wigglers are great but will not necessarily outfish live worms. I will fish either on a light weight jig head, bottom bumping or suspended under a bobber. Plastic grub/gulp worm or live worm can be rigged the same. The very small diameter of the gulp worm necessitates a fine-wire jig hook. Berkeley might be persuaded to offer gulp alive in larger sizes.

they do have gulp alive in larger sizes, also I realize most of the time I use them trolling which may have a different success rate than jigging or floating since the fish strike them on the move sort of speak and maybe they don't spend as much time evaluating them to see if they are really real worms or not???

Good worms are hard to come by here. I think it is because so few are used. The few times I have tried to buy them, the were on there last leg so to speak.

Can you dig up worms 🪱 in you yard ?
I remember digging up worms when I was a kid to go fishing 🎣 with the day before fishing.!!
I'm thinking about doing it again when I take my grandchildren and show them how to dig up for worms 🪱. We would have ball doing it !!
Good old days
Goos fishing this year.

yes I remember digging worms but where I live now I hardly ever see them when digging around the yard,I'm thinking they don't like my rocky soil or lack of it.

Just brought back old memories and fun times with my cousin.
The red worms 🪱 here that I have bought so small I'll get baby night Clare's.
Have a great fishing

I procured a sample cup from the urologist but have not used it, yet. The size is less than ideal - it takes up a lotta space. I recently tried an old film canister (from the days when cameras used film). It seems to seal all right, but when it is hot weather, that will be the true test. I caught some crappie last week on gulp alive, but then switched to live worms to catch bluegill in 48 degree water. The gulp alive worms are a valuable addition and have put many fish in my bucket, over the years. I went from soft plastics to gulp to gulp alive...now I usually start out with live worms.

Again from Stilltrying, thanks for reply’s
Seems like fish are finicky.
I usually use live bait and catch a variety of fish on each outing, not in great numbers though.
But gulp minnows produced bites and and ‘out lived’ live bait when stored in leak proof containers. One big plus, grandkids can bait their own hooks.😀
