Yup I do also. Miss the fun and serious times. I was usually given a couple of hours for pack your stuff we are moving out.

The ones who have not gotten to retire yet here are just Jealous of those that have. Does your sidekick help locate the fish? Like sit when your cruising in boat as a K9 sits or has other indicator when it locates its designated task.

That would be a great K9 and probably a long line for training.

Thanks Gordon, Golden's are great, sorry to hear about yours. I lost My first golden to cancer also, she made it to 14-1/2. This one is hilarious, her name is Sugar, 6-years old, total outdoors dog, won't leave my side. I know what your feeling. Good luck in finding another pal for life.

My last bird dog was a German Short Hair (Jaeger). 2 collars a green for hunting and leather for exercise. When he was 9 arthritis took over. The most beautiful embolden expression on his face when I finally put on his green collar humbled me to tears. His walk was tough to do but I helped him into the back of my Bronco to meet his maker at the vet. I’m not going on as I have already gone too far.
