The Johnson spin cast reminds me of their “twist free- tangle free” from 41 years ago. Gave them to my kids, the big + was when kids get snagged they want to crank&crank & crank some more, the reel I got them did not leave them with a tangled mess

What is a hurricane sinker? I see what we call a LewJohn. That is what folks use to snag salmon in Alaska where legal and often not where legal. (treble with molded in weight)

They have wires on the bottom, normally copper, that you bend out 90 degrees so that they dig into the bottom. And normally a long copper wire shaft with a loop at the end to tie your line on. If you look close at the picture it is on the right side top. It looks like a smaller one, 2-3 Oz.

A neighbor of one of my sons asked him if he wanted some fishing tackle. He told him no thanks but he knew someone who would want it. He brought it to me last week. I haven’t had time to clean them but I wanted to show you what I got. Maybe I can get some history for some of it. The tackle box is loaded with all types of various tackle, some of which I have no idea what it is.

Love the Daredevil lure. Caught a lot of large trout on that one!

You did good. I still use some of the same lures you have in that box. Weedless 'Jitterbug', short Rebel diver, Johnson spoon, etc. Can't say much about the reels except they are very old.

That is a lot of tackle and the price was certainly right. Good luck tracking down info on some of the older items.

Oh man! That one next to the jitterbug reminds me of the rebel fat-o, casting Lilly pads from our old wood/canvas canoe. Twich, Twich, pow!

Old Fisherman, I know I'm a youngster here at 63. Bet you got all that stuff under your bench. I know I do.
