Wow, is that lake back to normal pool?

Don Pedro and McClure are both right about 100% for this time of year historically. The others like Lake Shasta and Oroville have a ways to go. The snow pack in April will be telling of how much run-off we will have into the summer.

Google Lake Berryessa News. They report on lake conditions there, and published some pictures a day or two ago. Cappel Cove ramp is still dry, but you can at least see water now. Lake level is back to what it was in August, which was still really low. Hope it rains enough to at least raise the level to high enough to launch a kayak

I've lived in California all my life, and here's what I've noticed about climate and wildfires:

If it's a dry winter, we'll have a bad fire season because everything is so dry.

If it's a wet winter, we'll have a bad fire season because all the rain has made more weeds and brush grow.

Also, if it's a wet winter, the department of water resources works hard to keep the lakes drained as much as possible "for flood control". Either way, our lakes are running out of water by the end of August.
On a related note, either condition drives the prices of produce in the grocery store UP!

Just google Lake Mendocino and it should give the latest report, that's what I do for the lakes I fish.

Your just getting started. When all that snow melts, even Shasta may get close to normal. I hope it does it gradually so that people don't have to face more disasters.

I have seen it like this before then it just quits raining for the rest of the year and back in the drought. Hope that doesn't happen this year

You are 100% right, lots of rain and Cal-Fire saids grass is growing tall fire danger, too little rain short dry grass fire danger. Like I said in the beginning in Calif. its either burning up, shaking, or flooding.

Thanks for the report
When the water clears the lakes the fishing should be great again!!
And the Smallmouth bite should be great again at Don Pedro.

Hey ranger, there is a little positive info out there on lake levels and reports that there are 4 more storm systems coming on shore in the next week to 10 days.

Which reservoir is that? I saw where McClure rose over 60' but still has a long way to go.

Thank you good information, the problem is it's all coming at once and causing lots of damage but hey beggars can't be choosers.
