You gotta be careful getting that excited at our age, Hack. You may tend to dribble a bit…😂🐟on

You’re right Dave. I’d sure hate for any of it to start rusting.🤢😥

Dribble as in Drool? LOL Some of us were doing that already. LOL

A neighbor of one of my sons asked him if he wanted some fishing tackle. He told him no thanks but he knew someone who would want it. He brought it to me last week. I haven’t had time to clean them but I wanted to show you what I got. Maybe I can get some history for some of it. The tackle box is loaded with all types of various tackle, some of which I have no idea what it is.

I think so too Slim. I need to separate the tackle. Some of it I have no idea what it’s used for.

That might be a good luck charm also. Snoopy.
Great haul. That short silver and black rebel, if a floater, was my go to bass lure for over 40 years. I have several and they all have paint were but still catching fish. I use it mostly as a popper or modified wake lure. Just cast into a pocket, let sit until ripples are gone, twitch and let sit again. Repeat several times until lure is clear of vegetation. Then retrieve like any hard plug. Expect a hit when it is sitting dead or just as you start to retrieve it. It is both a fish killer and fun to fish. It looks like the original owner did or intended to do a lot of pike or pickerel fishing. I am not sure why else he/she would have wire leaders. I could be making a wrong assumption there, as there are some jigs more commonly used in saltwater. If saltwater was his intention, I don't believe he got around to it. Nothing shows salt exposure. I would be perfectly happy to fish Maine restricted to that equipment. It is a pretty good copy of my gear when I lived there. The only addition would be some tube baits and plastic worms. Senco's now of course. Senco's did not exist when I lived in Castine and Southwest Harbor Maine.

What is a hurricane sinker? I see what we call a LewJohn. That is what folks use to snag salmon in Alaska where legal and often not where legal. (treble with molded in weight)
Best deal I've seen in awhile .......Go get um! You don't even need to worry about losing a few lol
