First time boat owner here... I have two 25 Gal tanks on my boat. I have only used NON-Ethanol gas in them and right now I have the boat stored in my shop where its out of the weather element and won't freeze. One tank is on the empty side while the other might have about 3/4 tank filled.
My question ( as I have heard both answers ) is do I need to add STABIL 360 Marine to the tanks. The boat has been in my shop since Oct and it will most likely get out again within 2-3 months.
Thanks in advance for the responses.

I use seafoam but Stabil is just as good. An empty tank will get moisture from condensation in not in a controlled climate. If you have a fuel water separate. It should catch the moisture
I don’t know if it’s really necessary but I use it anyway. Better safe than sorry

Take it from a guy whos on his 3rd boat in 2 summers…like slim says….better safe than sorry…for a few bucks?…. Use it.
I use Stabil on all my machines and the boat. That way it doesn't matter how long they sit. In winter I add the 360 to the fuel tank on the boat
yes I would agree with what others have said and best to keep both tanks full
I am in agreement with everyone else that supports adative. If conditions permit, I would also take the boat and fill the tanks. With the boat in controlled temperature, it probably is not necessary, but can't hurt. In my part of the world, condensation is a real big problem. Around here they say you can ring water out of a bar of steel.I try to fill the boat every time I come in, rather than on the way to a fishing spot. I do not winterize my boat per say, as any break in the weather, I am fishing. The longest the boat has ever sat is 3 months. That was last year when the weather was so bad. The boat, an outboard, is kept outside with a cover on it. I do make sure the motor is all the way down to drain, and empty both water seperators of water. I also run the fuel dry in the engine, using fresh water attached to cooling system to keep impeller lubed. Just before lingcod season in the spring, and once more each year, based on usage, I change engine oil and gear case oil. I also grease everything at that time. Due to very limited access to ethanol free gas, I always use an additive. so far, I have never had a gas problem with my 2012 60 hp.4 stroke Mercury Bigfoot. I use it in both fresh and saltwater, or the twin 200 hp Yamahas. I can not say the same for my 8 hp. 4 stroke Honda. I now make a special trip and buy a few cans of ethanol free gas (with additive added) for the Honda.

Thanks, and Happy New Year
I like seafoam moreso than others, but I also use a gas additive from Lucas oil (#10013) it can be used year round. You didn't mention if you have an inboard or outboard. But use one of the gas stabilizers, and good luck this year.
Dang, I wish I could get ethanol-free gas. Too many politicians here in California!
1) YES! Use Seafoam, Sta-bil, Star-tron, or another fuel stabilizer. I use it year-round.
2) YES! If you don't have one, install a water-separating fuel filter!
3) YES! Keep your tanks full!
It's cheap insurance! Anything's better than hoping your battery has enough in it to power your trolling motor all the way back to the dock!

Look up [pure-gas.org] and tap on California. It should help you locate where non ethanol gas is located in your area. Hopefully, somewhere near you, en route, or near your boating destination.
A marina in a marine (i.e. seawater) location should not have the additional federal tax added that a land site or freshwater marina has to charge.
