What is SNG? I use beads and used to use Aero jigs for steelhead. And for salmon, I use eggs, sand shrimp, salmon jigs, or spinners.
I’m with johnlmac; soft beads, hard beads, okies, good eggs.
If you're talking "bobber-doggin'", I use soft beads(like 12mm...big !) or eggs. I have also used worms, both live and pink plastic (and have used a corky with live worms) & occasionally a lure like a Rebel crawfish.
I too am curious as to what is SNG ?
Not anything I have heard of.*
*..imo,...Acronyms are for lazy people... please don't assume everyone knows what you're referring to.
And please don't feel picked on, I would ask this of any guide or fishing show host or a buddy in the next boat, whoever thought they were speaking "a common language"..... they're not.
Sorry. SNG is Spin N Glo They are winged, floating attractors.

Yes, I, too, use beads, etc. On the trailing hook you frequently want to keep it off the bottom. That is the purpose of using L'il Corkie or Spin N Glo in this case. I am asking if someone uses something else to float the hook off of the bottom.
Thanks for the definition of SNG.... might have figured it out if you had used "SnG"...or just stated what it what it was.
Yeah....scented marshmallows, pre-formed floating Powerbait nuggets, but usually
the two you mentioned to keep off the bottom. Totally depends on the rate of flow.
