Good ones Hack
I was 5 when that play list came out
But know everyone of those songs
And for the rest
Lived outside
Drank that good water from the hose ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Thanks for the trip, Hack. I always love reflecting on the good ole days. We had fun, we got hurt but we survived. I think it had a great impact on who we are today. BTW, Iโ€™ll take a dozen of those $7,900 housesโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŸon

Youโ€™re very welcome Dave. Those were the good old days. No world wars, no anti government riots, great music, great cars, awesome fishing, awesome friends for life. I definitely feel our childhood, and how we were brought up, had major impacts on my life and thousands of other kids lives. I yield to others thoughts. Thanks Dave.

My brother and I collected them from 1966 till the fall of 1969 when we moved awayโ€ฆso this one wouldโ€™ve been among those that we had. It was a big deal to us. We listened to the radio and played records constantly. Every one of those songs is a soundtrack to a wonderful time in my life. If you donโ€™t mind, Iโ€™d screenshot that and send it to my brother. Heโ€™d love to see it. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Greetings Hack. Did all that great stuff as a kid. The one thing missing here is the red Ryder bb gun. I didn't leave the house without it. Nothing was safe. If it had fur, scales or feathers it was fair game. I had every contagious disease, mumps, measles & chicken pox. I had a broken arm 2 or 3 times, ruptured appendix & had to be stitched up way too many times. I was even run over by a farmall tractor (my right leg) but I grew up & wouldn't trade my childhood with anyone. I actually feel sorry for kids today. What kind of life is staring at an electronic game screen? Keep those memories going Hack.

Wait guys!! We brought guns to school. Common as all get out.
Had them displayed in racks in rear windows of pickups. Show them off at recess. No one got shot. No one offended. We were taught gun safety and concern for others.
We all did foolish things back then and knew we had hell to pay for certain if we messed up. And No trophies for participating!!!!!

I know what you mean.
I was born in FtW Tx, moved to Azle then down to Hico. Lived there till '64 then moved up to the Lubbock area.
So I was born and raised with those good ole boys.
I bet every boy, and some girls, was carrying a pocket knife everyday they when they walked out of the house.
We never thought anything about it if we pulled it out in class to cut something. Never dreamed of cuttin another person.
Like you said, we even had guns out on the car/truck.
That was a different time period. AND we weren't shootin up the schools either.

You had to bring your pocket knife to school - you needed it to play mumbley peg during recess!

Youโ€™re welcome aha. Yeah, if we rode we had some close calls. I stopped riding at age 70 when an 18 wheeler decided he wanted to be in the lane I was in. That was a very near miss.

Steve every good old boy I knew had an Easy Rider rifle rack in his rear window. Nobody thought nothing of it. It was there because it could be there and it was cool. I sure miss those days.

Hello Saw. I believe I was a freshman or sophomore in high school when I bought a .22 rifle from another student. He brought the gun to school the next day on the school bus. I put the rifle in my locker & took it home after school. No one ever said a word about it. Every pickup in the school parking lot had a gun rack in the rear window or guns under the trunk & I doubt if any vehicle was locked. I would have stayed home sick before I would go to school without a knife. That's just the way we lived back then. I graduated in 1965 & things have gone downhill fast & hard ever since.
