Thanks Fredfish! Yeah my adrenaline hasn't stopped since I got sight of just how big it was. It's a smaller lake that hardly gets fished because it's a bit of a walk to get to it so maybe I'll get lucky and hook into it again. There's always a chance! She knew every trick in the book though as far as how to keep from going top side. Lol. I guess that's how she got that big.

Those are beautiful! Congrats! Hardwater seaso started here in the thumb too lasted 3 days now its gone. Awaiting its return wit anticipation.

I have not been on the ice yet this season. Just as it was getting to a point where I felt safe...the big thaw hit us...much to my dismay! I always walk out in the early season, and depending on where I plan to fish, I bring the snowmobile along for longer runs later in the season when I know that ice is good for the extra weight.

Sure looks like an Atlantic Salmon to me...although over the years I have caught a few browns that had a similar genetic appearance....let's wait for jiffish to confirm! Definitely a male fish in terms of gender....
