Heading down to Florida for a few weeks and planning on getting out on lake Tarpon. Any of our members have any experience on this piece of water?

Thanks flyguy, I’m giving up my winter ice fishing in the N east and trying Florida for a spell.

Hey Deadly Dick Dude, not sayn it’s cold in central Fl. but I caught a fat 3 pound bass this morning on Myrtle Lake, Longwood, Fl. And he was wearing an FSU sweatshirt under his Columbia parka.

My sig other and i fished this lake. He is an experienced tournamant fisherman and we had absolutely no luck. The water was very clear, what fish we did find were to spooked out by all the boat traffic and people swimming in the water and making noise to want to bite. You might have a better trip but we crossed this lake off our places to go.

Thanks guys, I fished lake Tarpon a couple times last year with very little luck.
Certainly looks like the fish get plenty of pressure. I thought maybe these Florida bass
didn’t like what I was throwing at them but I guess I’m not alone.
