What is everyone’s biggest fish of the year? Mine were largemouth bass a 5-4 and a 5-2 on the same fishing trip. And almost nothing the rest of the year! Bobby

Caught a few 5 ft blacktip sharks, not sure if they count …wasn’t fishing for them, they just liked my bait.
36 inch Walleye, Fat boy. And a couple of salmon that ran about the same.

Hey HBM, it's been a good first season of retirement for me. Several PBs this year, including a 5-4 Largemouth, a 2-5 Calico Bass (Black Crappie), and a 10+Northern Pike that broke the clamp on my scale before the numbers settled. The last few months of the season slowed down a lot, but overall a good year. Hoping to improve all of them next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, and Good Luck in 2023. Tight Lines.
I didn’t fish much this year, but my second last LM (21” no scale as I was traveling light) was probably the most memorable.
The best fish was my buddy’s 3yr old Grandson Lucas’ first bluegill!
Hope to get after them next year!
First cast with a 1/8 oz white Rooster Tail as I was hoping for a crappie
Lucas’ first bluegill. Gotta get me some jammies like his!

Didn’t fish near as much as I planned to but I caught a few 5lb plus walleyes but this big old sheepshead (drum) was probably my biggest fish of the year. Caught it off the pier at Cedar Point (in Sandusky) while fishing with my mother in law. We go there every year for a few days and this year a guy really dialed me in on what’s there and how to fish for them excited for next year!
This guy was the heaviest fish I caught. Didn’t have the scale with me but it was 8-10lbs.
MIL caught a few gills. She’s a great fishing partner. Always up way before the crack of dawn.😂🎣

Awesome Buddy. Family that fish together...well you know. Looks like a great one to fry up or use for crab bait if nothing else.
HoHoHo
The biggest fish I hooked in 2022 was with Jar in March. We posted pictures back then. I will try to show a few after coffee and get the Biscuits cooking. I had a bunch of fun fishing with Stagers this year for sure. Norcal get together Saw1 and 40 Grit organized..... Justoldjim rolled down there with me. We got Maid Marion out on the Ocean this year. Several other great people and times in 2022 Looking forward to many more in 2023. Retirement and fishing is great I recommend it to everyone.
I went more than what I am adding but the biggest fish for myself in 2022 was LingCod with Jar on the Pacific Ocean 5 or 10 at most miles west of Winchester Bay. We hooked a bunch of Canary Rockfish and Ling. Crab was a bit slow but got a 1/2 limit I think… memory is always the first to go.
17.5 inch small mouth in the Schuykill River.
