Where are some good areas to bank fish this time of year until we get a boat.
Taking a kid fishing is always Fun .
God bless
I would suggest the Park Pier or under the bridge at Orange Beach Pass. Bottom fish with live or dead shrimp. May catch a red, or speck. See what the other folks are doing. Not sure what's biting over there in this cold.

We just sold our house and land in East Point La Hache. Will miss the fishing, but can go back if I want. Only 3-4 hours from Mobile.

Louisiana fishing has spoiled you. I fish there 4 times a year and catch the limit each trip. Where I fish is Redfish, Trout, with a few sheepshead. For Orange Beach. At the state park pier, use fiddler crabs with a swing head jig or live shrimp. Also, you can catch whiting with a high/low pomp rig using fishbites tipped with fresh shrimp. Also, you may try under the pass bridge. This area produces fish but takes some getting use to due to the current. Try live shrimp dropped just up current along the wall. Also around the pilings of the bridge. You can use a Carolina rig with live shrimp thrown out and reel in slowly. Bull Redfish can be caught in this area. Cut fresh mullet seems to work well but most cut bait works. Watch where people fish on the intercostal waterway ( canal) it can be ok there as well for Drum etc. You can catch whitting in the surf with pomp high/low rig fishbites (pink shrimp) and fresh shrimp tossed in the first trough between the bank and the first sand bar. ( yes , that is not that far out) NOt a lot is happening this time of year. Use a heavy silver spoon for blue fish, let sink and reel fast,. I have caught Redfish, Blue Fish, Flounder, Drum, whiting, pompano, and sheep head. That is mostly what you will catch this time of year. Almost forgot. The Fort Morgan area can be good. It is a long walk but can be worth it. Little Lagoon can produce some flounder and with a strong outgoing tide, it sometimes washes bait out into the ocean and can be like cumming.LOL Gulf Shores/Orange beach has a large shark population. If you get a boat there are lots of choices close. Might also check out cedar point pier. Hope this helps. PS: I fish the Shell Beach area in LA. LA fishing is amazing.
Thank you so much for the info I can't wait to try out some of your suggestions.
I'm Chad maybe we will run into you sometime
