Hey everyone. I have two questions today, I was wondering if it would be safe to take a 10ft pond prowler out on Lanier. Secondly, if it is then where would be good to fish on Lanier or where should I fish to stay safe? Thank you for any responses, y’all are great πŸ‘

1. Wear a pfd
2. Check the weather.
3. Use common sense when incomes to very small boats.

This is a good start. Welcome to the Stage.

I would stay close to shore and off the main lake stay in the creek arms or fish the park areas at the dam. there is a lot of structure in the water near the dam easy parking I see yaks fishing this area all the time

early morning or late in the day a white fluke type bait fished just off the riprap or up against the bank back twards the boat might just get you a striper there are some walleye just in front of the earthen part of the damn too might check Eric Aldrich's fishing report in the Gainsville Times for the latest news

Stay in the sheltered coves and try to avoid wakes from the larger boats. There are plenty of opportunities for spotted bass, stripes and crappie in the coves and around docks. Always wear a pfd and use common sense. I have fished in a 10 ft prowler and now in a 10 ft pelican kayak.
