Is there a bait shop near there where I can get bait and advice on what to use and when to use it? Fishing from shore on the ocean is new to me.

Yes at the Granada bridge right before you start to cross bridge at Halifax River on south side.

Check out Citrus Surf Shop, just past Alfie’s restaurant in Ormond by the Sea. They have bait and can give you the scoop on what’s biting in the surf locally, They’re Good people.
