of course the constitution was about protecting the individual rights and freedom from government control and laws should be about protecting those rights from those who seek to infringe on them and not to control people based on a political agenda. yes freedom of speech is one of those rights and yes Twitter is a private company that was doing the bidding of one political ideology and they had that right even if they were lying about saying what others were posting were lies.

DC .... You've got it right. If Twitter wants to bow down to their current masters and suck up to those who are able to help them out later, as a private entity, they are within their rights to do so. Constitutional protections are to protect us from governmental abuse ( only ). Of course if the power structure wishes to fully protect us from private enterprise, there are other statutorial methods to make that happen, and in a representative system, that can be done. It's up to us to pressure our " representatives " to carry this out, in our behalf.
Failing that, we can bring economic pressure on our enemies, primarily by boycotting them. It's our choice.
Nice to have ya weighing in on this issue with a firm understanding of the rules of the "game" . Not much of that goin' around.

I recently bought a new to me Triumph 19’ boat. The limiting factor for how often I take it out, is the cost of gas to tow it from my house, to my favorite fishing area 35 miles away. My Acura MDX gets 11 mph when towing the boat, so going 70 miles round trip at $6.00/ gallon cost me $40 in car gas per outing. I usually only burn 2 gallons of gas in the boat…but even that adds up.

Can I say FJB on this forum?
