Hello everyone my name is Steven I love fishing mostly bass and crappie and I sometimes make down to the North Carolina coastal areas. I fish year around doesn’t matter if it’s a 100 decrees or 10 degrees I’m always on the water I’m truly addicted to fishing thank you for allowing me to be on this site hopefully we can learn new things and places thanks again
Welcome Steve, don't know how you handle that cold weather fishing. I will take those 75* sunrises anytime. Where you fishing on your end of the state? Over here on the Pamlico was good this past summer and heard the trout are still running good in the Pongo as well. Laid up for awhile myself and doing some dock fishing but it appears trout have gone deeper. Then of course trout and drum are all we can keep anyway. And the drum just didn't happen around here at all.
Hi Steve, can't wait to get back down that way for spring, i hear Randleman Lake is killer for giant bass and slab crappie!!!

Welcome to the Forum, Steve, a lot of NC's on here and they all seem to be wonderful people. In fact, everyone on here seems to be great. The administration must do a background check before they let them on.

Welcome RSR, You must be a fresh water guy being that far west. I am due east of you just south of Belhaven. Where you fishing out that way?
I do some fresh water, not as much as I would like to do, mostly due to not having a boat. Most of my fishing is at the coast, where I mostly surf and pier fish for king mackerel and Spanish. I usually make at least 4 to 6 trips a year. More if I’m lucky. Love the coast.
The mack seemed to run on the Pamlico at a certain time and being in a yak haven't found that time and place yet. Trout and drum is all that's been legal and just the trout is all that's been worth it. Slow drum year.
