Has anyone ever heard of using Ivory Soap as catfish bait??
Also, I have a couple catfish rigs that you're suppose to squeeze paste bait into the holes. Does anyone have a good recipe for me to try.

Walmart sells bait that you can squeeze into the holes. If that is not your best option, cabelas, or academy sports, as well as bass pro shop may help you.

Well a few years ago, (actually about 40) my brother and myself used ivory soap for catfish and caught some using it. But really nothing beats bream for catfish, as far as I know anyway. Tight lines everyone!!

Ivory soap works good. I floats and keeps the bait off the bottom. also look for Sonny's Blood Stink Bait on the internet. That's what I use for channel cats

It’s hard to beat Chicken livers or gizzard Shad. But by the pictures you’re using a good bait. Nice catches.

I put the tube in the bucket and mash it in with a paint paddle to keep it off my hands. It stinks but works

Believe it or not, chunks of hot dogs work really good. Crappie love them too. Cheers

I've been using cut up chicken which I mix Cherry Kool Aid, Garlic Powder, Vanilla Extract, Annise Extract, & some Olive Oil. Works great with cut up Hot Dogs also.

Yeah Gordon Sonny's is hard to beat. I set out to copy it. Took five years but I finally came up with a dip that looks like, smells like, stays on a tube like and catches fish like the original bait. I've posted the recipie for my sponge and punch baits but I'm keeping my dip recipie secret. Both the other baits are hard to beat. Especially the punch bait. The base for the punch would be great for filling those hollow plastic lures.

About any soap will work I make my own and use anise oil curing the soap takes some time. Not too soft and not too hard stays on the hook we’ll just an old homemade lye soap soap bait excellent catfish and it floats
