What an interesting day, a YouTuber sent me a message today saying he’s catching big rainbow trout in the south platte in Denver! Smack dab in the city between the football stadium and downtown. They were stacked everywhere from 8th ave and North towards the stadium where we fished! Can’t wait until tomorrow, I’ve only caught smallmouth there until today! I must have caught about 10 plus a few smallmouth and Cody caught over 30 ! Perfect timing, I struggle with the largemouth this time of year in Colorado! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I was assuming the same thing, they must have stocked it . I’m going to do some searching to see what I find from fish and game!!

I'm fishing on the Platte Monday. Any other good spots? Carp biting? What flies? Ever used Angelers All fly shop in Littleton? I'm from the Springs and last fished there 5 years ago from a city park off Santa Fe on the river. Thanks.

I have only fished the section between 8th and the stadium using spinning rod! I walk along the Platte trail and find good holes near rapids. There are a a few fly fisherman I’ve met that we’re going for carp and I do see lots of Carp! Hope you catch some Monday! I caught this trout just north of 12th fishing a ned rig this week so the trout are still biting!!!!

Fished Frog Hollow, very dirty and Texas cars selling pot in the parking lot. Looked fishy so I conceal packed some heat. Ended up at REI. No fish but a great sunny warm November day with marvelous sites.

Ended at up at Gaylord of the Rockies for drinks before driving back to the springs.

I'd love to have a small flat at the confluence apartments in Denver. I could walk to REI and fish in the S Platte and fish every day.

I would never had thought to fish a frog there, maybe a rat!😮. Gotta have lots of fishing spots, one gets old. Colorado fishing is about over for me, heading to Dallas Texas this week and working my way to the coast to fish. Sorry ya didn’t catch any, I have best luck with 1/8 oz tube jig or ned rig! A small rapid starts just south of the rusty bridge in my picture, throw a tube jig in and let current do most of the work. Spinners can work also but I catch most on the jigs.
