I grew up trout fishing and have spent the last 40 years salmon fishing several rivers and the coast of Oregon.
My 10 year old grandson wants me to take him bass fishing. I’ve never fished for bass nor do I know what techniques to deploy or what locations to target near Milwaukie, Oregon.
Ideas on locations, tackle and techniques would be greatly appreciated so I can learn and help my grandson learn something other than salmon fishing.

The Willamette along the treatment plant trail in Milwaukie is a good place to throw Rooster Tails along the rocky bank. I have caught many bass there. Also a great place for Sturgeon if you can cast out far enough. Good luck and good fishing.

Oregon Bass and Panfish club were the ones that showed me the way when I was young. It didn't take though. I moved on with the pursuit of salmonids the rest of my life.
