I am somewhat surprised by the paranoid reaction by many towards snakes. They are generally not aggressive. When they bite it is a defensive action.

So did I Dennis, the wife saw him last night coming out of the umbrella holder. I covered the hole and just now remembered to take a look at him. There was a dead frog in the bottom so he was just out for a winters snack I guess.
Just curious PB, did it scare the p out of you. Is that your wet spot?

I think it is something that goes back to what happened after " in the beginning"!

Wasn't there in the beginning Gray unlike some folks ( not going to mention ) but that's a good point. If it weren't for that snake we probably still be naked and wouldn't know what cold weather was.

As for the P. No, I had flipped the stand over to try and shake him out. That didn't work so I pissed him off when I bent up a coat hanger to get him out of the hole. He wasn't happy nor when he met his father Satan.

Look into snake eyes, are they round? Safe snake to handle except coral snake. We should all know what a coral snakes looks like. Cats eyes back up and let snake flee. Or catch it and take to safe place for bad snakes to live. See those cats eyes or a viper shaped head step back. Don`t be scared of coral snakes either, they have to bite between fingers and chew to get poison in ya.

Looks like a night snake. Patterns are different depending on the part of the country you live in. The head had a bit of diamond shape as is characteristic of night snakes. Although they have a mild toxin, they are not considered dangerous. As with all snakes, discretion should be practiced.

I don’t think they are in the eastern part of the US

Yeah. Mokkersins are pizin. Got a stubborn streak too. Funny lil snake. Coloful character when young then goes an changes colors when he gits older. Goes a solid olive or black. Big ole ugly head. Pretty snake when young then gits ugly as homemade sin as he ages. Ha!
