My winterizing the place this week, unfortunately outweighs the fishing desire. I hope they are still in the lake and not up the creek spawning next week with the rain predicted for the weekend. Worst case scenario is that I will have to fish for silvers in the Nooksack. The rain should bring a bunch in. Hopefully the river doesn't go from dry to flooding like it did last year. That is a nice bunch of fish. Well done.

What’s causing that Jeep? Is it smoke or fog?

I'll answer for Jeep. The westside of the mountains has a wildfire that has burned most of the summer in a thick green overgrown forest. It is about 30% contained. We have a week of rain coming starting Friday, so it may finally lay down enough to contain it.

Wow, that’s a lot of smoke. That’s some preload you’ve got on that pole. What make is it? I’m assuming that it’s a Kokanee model. Are you using down riggers? Sorry about the slow bite. They should be spawning about now… 🐟on

Thanks Dakoda. I hope the rain puts it out. I wasn’t aware of the fire. I missed that part in the original topic. After the rains stop will the run off get into the lake and muddy it up? I hope it all works out for y’all.

Yes it is a kokanee pole and I don't recall the make or name.. I will update tomorrow and it's a Scotty lake troll down riggers.. I use them on my kayak also..
