Not new to striper fishing, but new to having my own boat - 33’ Stamas that I keep in Piermont NY
Wondering if the Fall stripers wander up river from the NYC harbor to the Tappan Zee (not calling it Gov Cuomo bridge!….)

Anyone know?
If so, do we think live eels or trolling mojo jigs, or what?
Any feedback is appreciated

I know it's a good bet in spring when they go to spawn. I would guess there are resident fish that never go to sea. Check with your favorite bait shop.
BTW the Tappan Zee only has one name.😁😁😁

I believe bass will winter in the depths just outside the mouth for the winter and make a run up come warmer water in spring.
I was in SleepyHollow yesterday and when I saw the name of the bridge it made me cringe. I’ll always know it as the new Tappan Zee.
