I have fished the saltwater all around Bradenton, but the red tide as had a dramatic effect on results. I want to test out freshwaters in the area but only have tried Lake Manatee with poor results. Are there any other small lakes in the area for some fishing?

Florida, doesn't the state publish a book with all the accessible body's of water? Most do, lakes, ponds, and rivers.

There’s a park , I think it’s Braden river park that has fishing I guess in the Braden river. I haven’t been there yet. Recently moved from Pennsylvania and still unpacking boxes.

Where in PA did you move from? And where did you move to in Florida? I moved here from Delaware county PA three years ago. We live in North Venice now. That’s in Sarasota County

Moved from Doylestown bucks county to Lakewood ranch outside of Sarasota manatee county.
Still unpacking boxes from the move but did fish skyway pier one time.
