When I used to chew, a little spit would sure make a lethargic minnow wake up if applied to its eyes… 😆

Neither I, nor my parents dipped. However, we had glasses from relatives who dipped regularly and bought their snuff in table sized glasses and gave us all we needed.
Now i did enjoy and chewed on cigars. Just Sayin..RJS

I used to dip until my dentist noticed some lesions on the inside of my lip. I decided that, although I lack movie star looks, lacking lower lip would not be an improvement. That’s when I quit cold turkey. Some folks can dip all their lives with no problem. I don’t happen to be on that end of the bell curve.

I really started dipping Skoal when I was 18 then it was 20 to 25 cent's per can..I got hooked, the guard at the front gate got it wholesale sold me 10 can sleeves for 2.50 by the time I moved to NC in 2000 I switched to Longhorn long cut wintergreen price jumped to 5.00 per can on Skoal, Longhorn is $14 for five can's now.. I realize it's not the healthy thing to do but after 50 years of doing it I can't give it up. I've dipped in the hospital, concerts, movie house and between the eye's of fish..they wave the white flag of surrender after that 🤣

Dipping is difficult to give up and not always harmful. I don’t mean judge anyone. Just wanted to provide my personal experience.

Chewed in my 20s. Smoked to. Quit in 1982 at the age of 32 when I found out the wife was expecting our first child. She just turned 39 this month.

Started dippin when I was bout 12. Then started smoking when I was 14. Smoked up to 2 packs a day at the heaviest while in the military and quit cold turkey when I was bout 21. Haven't done any of it since. Almost 70 now.
