Gonna love it. Been going there 55 years. Strippers and blues are running strong. Plenty of party boats. Viking fleet can hook you up. Surf fishing is great too. Turtle cove is a good start. Park by light house and take trail. If you have kids or not the Navy pier is always nice. It’s 5 minutes out of town

Thank you so much, FR (can't say Fat Rat since I don't know you -[ LOL).
Going out Wednesday night or THursday morning early - kinda loathe to go at night since I've never been there and I'm using all new equipment from waders, boots, rods and reel plus lures to boot - may need the light to properly get ready. - figure I'll fish till 1pm or so then cut out for that tackle show at the Long Island Hilton on THursday from 6-11pm before heading home - if I can stay awake - if not there's always the back of the Suburban for a few hours sleep.
Have no idea what the tides going to be - seems an incoming tide may be best - maybe I'll let that guide me.
Funny, you're in Middletown NY - I used to regularly hits the Orange County Fairgrounds for that gun show they still have 3 or 4 times a year.

What's the parking situation there at the light house? Is parking Still open? Can I stay parked after sundown?
