Heading to Reelfoot in late Match for the 1st time.
Any suggestions to catch Crappy. We are staying at the north side for 4 days of fishing.
Honestly, if you can afford it, I'd recommend hiring a guide for the first day. Lots of areas to cover and there are a lot of submerged stumps that can make a good trip turn bad if you hit them.
I would not recommend taking your own boat. If your stay at one of the resorts. Use there boat. I would take a trolling motor with you also. Lots of stumps you can’t see. We got stuck on top of one. Also, don’t sit under the trees to long. Snakes have been known to fall into boats. Enjoy, it is a good lake for crappies and bluegills.
