That’s not a kayak. That’s the PT 109
Just my 2 cents. Maybe center the battery in the rear and ditch the big tackle box for a small soft Plano pack that fits between your legs. You only need a few go-to baits for any given water. Otherwise, nice job with the trolling motor!
The battery was centered but with the weight of the motor hanging off the starboard side I was leaning to the starboard side, after I moved it I realized I could put my tackle box behind me where it is easier to access. It was up front but it was difficult to get to
I was suggesting the small pack directly in front of seat. That’s what works for me.
You’ve got me convinced of doing this to mine next year! Although I’m not thrilled about registering it. Nice job and best of luck! 👍🏻🎣

Thanks Orthocad, I couldn’t be happier with the set up, the motor, battery and battery box was $285.00 and I built the motor mount for $40.00. I highly recommend doing it, it is awesome!
So Gary you’re a scofflaw. Register the yak or go back to paddling. Wonder what other laws you’re breaking?
