Iβm a 69 years old crappie fisherman enjoying retirement and being able to fish anytime day or night that I feel like it. I wish a full freezer to everyone out there that likes fried crappie as much as I do.

Good morning, Slabdog, and welcome to the Forum. We have a lot of fine members from the great state of TN. Tight lines and good luck.

Welcome Slabdog from another Volunteer. I'm in Strawberry Plains, 20 minutes north of Knoxville. I'm 68 but still working. It cuts into my fishing time but I still get out when I can. Mostly bass for me but would love to find the crappie here. Not sure if you saw it, here's a walleye I caught Monday.
Thanks for the welcome sir. Thatβs a nice walleye. We have them here below Watts Bar Dam, but Iβve never caught one. Sale Creek is around 30 minutes north of Chattanooga Lake Chickamauga is my fishing area.

Nice area. I traveled to Chattanooga a few times for newspaper conferences. Stayed at the Read House downtown. I haven't fished Watts Bar yet. A bit of a drive for me but may try it sometime. Enjoy FS. Show us pics of those crappies you nail.
