Had an out of body underwater experience on that lake years ago. On water skiis I told the driver of the boat ( who I thought was my friend ) to try and shake me. After several tight turns and still on top of the wateer he took me, during a turn, into the huge wake of a big boat. I went airborn, was taken off balance by the tow and hit the water hard. I remember seeing myself from the back spread eagled like I was doing a cartwheel. Thats when I realized for the first time what wide shoulders I had. I then came to the surface and got picked up by the boat. While climbing aboard I was asked if I was alright. I said yes, why? They said I looked like I had seen a ghost. Then I told them the story about my underwater experience. That was my first of three out of body experiences.

So that's how you got your user name. You popped back to the surface like a bobber.

Hello to all I and my son just returned from Whiskey Town Lake in Northern California
Since I haven’t figured out how to add comments to each picture I’m just going to put it all together
I hiked up to Crystal creek waterfall the first day
Caught a 4.6 lb Bass the second day and the rest of the time just enjoyed the weather and lake relaxing

D Tong, beautiful setting and I suspect that the water was cold! Great to get out with your son for some quality time! Good dad!

It is a beautiful lake. I always fish for the Kokanee there but to know that it has a good bass population. Congrats on the bass.

Glad you had a good trip. Was the water clarity it's usual 30 to 40 feet? I meant to send you the location of a couple honey holes that always seem to produce for when I read you were going. Sorry I forgot. Thanks for the pics.

Did you ever fish over by the water release, I forgot the name but it's a big pipe I think that releases water into the lake. There was a peninsula down from it where many people fished and did pretty well. Not sure now with water levels...

We should have next meet and greet there!!! Plenty of water and space ( I hope). And lots of varieties of fish. There is also really good shore fishing if we don't have enough boats. Water is nice and fairly full, considering other lakes are so dry.

We usually stay for a couple or three nights. Friday to Sunday or Monday. Otherwise it is too short. We did Clear Lake last time and that worked for Northern CA and a few from OR.

Just a thought.
