Yes, cleaning of catfish can be an art. I once had an MD (surgeon) show me how to clean a channel cat, step by step, and my heavens, what a complicated mess it was. I should have recorded it somehow (this was back in the 60's before the simple recording phones were produced). Now I don't remember a single one of the steps, not even the first one. Pity.

Use to drive a nail through the head , peel the skin back etc, now just fillet them fast and easy
