Had a fun day fishing with another Stager, Devan Combs. Notice I said fishing, not so much catching. :-)
59° at the ramp this morning, 78.4°water temperature, and the breeze was light, for a little while. Showed Devan around a little and got my skunk buster on the first tree on the way out, only about 1lb. Caught a second, similar size, no picture. The wind started picking up early, and caused havoc trying to hold position in my aluminum, and Devan's inflatable. My best 2 places held no fish, so we tried the northeast side and Devan busted his skunk with a Yellow Perch, 8-10", no picture. I quick released another one, and we moved around again. Decided to try the North tip of the lake, and let the wind push us back south. We both missed a couple of decent bites, but they were not committed, just yank and run. I did manage to catch one more, 1lb 10oz LM, from under a deserted dock in about 18"of water. After trying a few more spots we were tired of fighting the wind and called it a day. I want to thank Devan for a fun day, and some great fish stories. We'll definitely be getting together again, hopefully with better conditions, and productivity. Fishing with Stagers is AWESOME!

Hi Fred. It is fun fishing with the guys. Devan has a nice setup. Bring him the the Eagle 👍. When I grow I iwant to fish as good as you 🤗. Think I've lost my edge. That or I enjoy the outings more than catching.

Thanks Al. I felt bad about the slow bite, but fighting the wind was making everything difficult. We had a good time anyway thought.

Yes it is Butch. I'll ask him if he's interested. Don't go growing up now, it's more fun being young.

Looks like a good time to me. I grew up with skunks so I appreciate all Mother Nature has to offer. Great pics.
Thanks Mr. Fish.
