Early tomorrow morning a friend and I are headed to Bridgeport to launch and fish the Brewster Pool for Sockeye.
We'll spend the night and fish 2 days. Hope to catch some sockeye and avoid getting cooked..
We'll be using some of my home made flashers with a 2 hook harness baited with some small coon shrimp.

Sounds like it will be very successful. I am interested in all "flashers" yours are homemade can we get a picture and formula for them. I use them for freshwater stripers and want to try all until I hit the motherload one.
Have an awesome trip. I’ve heard that they are doing very well there.
I second the flasher photo suggestion from Florida
Awsome sounds like a blast wish u 2 all the luck. Combat fishing gotta love it. Look foward to seeing some pics hopefully
Good luck! Heard they are seeing near record numbers of fish (and possibly fishermen/women)...

Just got back from 2 days fishing in the Brewster Pool. Yesterday was tough fishing. The fish didn't want to bite and only hit lightly early in the morning. My partner and I did manage to catch 3 between 5:30 AM and 1:30 PM. By then we were well cooked. We thought about going back out in the evening but got lazy after sitting in the air conditioning.
This morning We began fishing at 5:30 sharp and limited out at 7:45. Much better bites.
The limit is 4 each.
Will need to get a picture or 2 out of my cell phone so that'll take me a bit.

Thanks Jeremy.
Sometimes the fishing is better than other times. It does help to have a partner, especially in the Brewster Pool.
My daughter and family came over after I got home so we had some fresh salmon for dinner. Their power was shut off due to an active fire that burned about 30 of their 50 acres. The good side is that most of their trees were spared. It was mainly a grass fire. Human caused either by construction or agricultural work behind their place.
Their power is back on and they are back home now. We live about a mile away but it was up wind at the time.
The fire started when I was out fishing at Brewster.
Well how was the fishing st the Brewster pool?
