I posted this story a few years ago, but it's a true story and it is a good one.

When I was growing up, 7-8 y/o, I was raised right on the North Branch of the Whitewater River, one of the best trout streams in MN. We lived in a small community of maybe a 1/2 doz. people along the river. Old Ben Zell lived in a tar paper shack a little ways up the road and he would lean back in his chair against his shack, and toss sticks for his dog, Pepper to retrieve. Well, Ben decided to do a little fishing, so he grabs a stick of dynamite and walks down to the river, lits it, and tosses it into the river. Of course, Pepper jumps in and retrieves the stick of dynamite. Old Ben, who weighed close to 300#'s, turns and starts to run away from Pepper. "Damn it to He11, the faster I ran, the faster Pepper ran". Needless to say, that was Pepper's last fishing trip, but Ben was fine.

Even Dr. Pepper couldn't put little pepper back together.
Shouldn’t have taught him to fetch
