I can't even get a bite from bass recently. Only a little yellow perch and crappie. I've tried jigs and Texas rigs, crankbaits, and top water baits.

Look for some lily pads wfystx. This hot weather has them deep, or looking for cover.
Good luck!

Fg.... Great advice, it's that simple. Or not, but for sure, they're not gonna be in shallow, sunny, unshaded water.

I went out at 10am today, fishing from shore. Saw small bass going after emerging dragon flies near the pads in about 3 ft of water. I list 2 in the weeds, unweighted 4" senko. By 11, it was 90 degrees, time to quit.
