Anybody know if you can still capture sand fleas at any of the beaches in the Santa Cruz area (Capitola, Aptos, etc.)

Yes, the ocean critters still eat them. Very good bait.

Yes, I want some for bait, but the beach I always caught them from (Seabright/Castle beach) doesnt seem to have them there anymore. Do you know of any specific location where I could wade out and pick some up?

Well I usually fish north of there. And I was down at Pismo Beach last spring and I got a bunch down there. So - I don't know what's up with those.

A little farther north on Montara Beach straight out front from the Peruvian restaurant the sand crabs are stacked you could fill a 5 gallon bucket in a short time

I guess I see it. Won't give me a name. Looks like pretty steep climb down those steps. I old with a bad back.

Sorry to hear that you have a bad back and your mobility is limited with stairs and long distance walks my Cusin is 72 and he goes down the stairs with me he just takes it slow and careful we catch the sand crabs ๐Ÿฆ€ and fish ๐ŸŽฃ for perch there on that beach

Right now itโ€™s a little slow for Perch
Late fall and mid spring seems to have better results ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘
