For the first time my youngest daughter wakes me up at four am saying she is determined to catch a bass and ended up not getting one single bite I felt so bad for her but still impressed she woke herself up and got ready to go before she got me up lol

Hopefully next time y'all will slay em. With determination like that success isn't far off.
Love it! Hope that determination continues long after she catches one! Good luck to you both!
Just keep trying. It'll happen

Good morning, Crx, welcome to the Forum. With a trait like that, she has to be a winner. Has she ever caught a fish? How old is she?

Welcome to the Stage Crx1493. She sounds enthusiastic, and that's a good thing. Hopefully next time's the charm. Good luck and Tight Lines.

My last time out i was on the water at 4:15am. Must say that is a great time to be out there. Now anyway, come winter i'll be an under cover agent at 4:15.

Great story. Hope she gets one next time. Were you fishing off your dock again?

Better luck next outing! Keep that spirit going in her🎣
She's still trying she is 11 years old and has caught plenty of catfish and bluegills before I just interduced her to using lures Instead of night crawlers so she's learning she's down on the dock every minute she can be

I remember vividly my Dad when I was 11.
He used to hunt and fish some when he wasn't workin. Mostly on Saturday.
I got my love for the outdoors from him.
I thought the world revolved around him and the sun rose and set with him.
I was at that special age where I was just getting old enough to go with him when he went out.
That summer in '64, on July 5th, he died from kidney failure due to diabetes complications.
Treasure every moment with your little girl. Make it as special as you can. SHE will remember it every day of her life.
Thanks for sharing your and her adventures with us. Steve. Saw1
Bless her Heart. Sure would like to see a picture of her first bass. With her determination it will come. Good Luck!

To bad she was not rewarded with a nice bass. I hope her determination stays strong

Good for her Crx, and welcome to the Stage. With get up and go like that, her determination will win sooner or later. And at just 11, think where it will be at 15 or 16, you’ll have to start going to bed earlier!😁
