You have some good lakes in PIERCE AND THURSTON COUNTY, Lake Tapps, Lake Kapowsin, Clear Lake, American Lake, Mineral Lake, Alder Lake, Lake Saint Clair, Long Lake, Hicks Lake, Ward Lake, Summit Lake, Black Lake, Offutt Lake. That’s a few in the area you can google map and find plus get directions to the boat launches, hope that helps you. Good luck and welcome to the group.

Go to Ifish on internet and search Garibaldi. Trolling in the bay and mouths of rivers for salmon and steelhead. Ask clerks at Tillamook tackle across from Fred Meyer.

Don't know your area, definitely start learning the marine ares and the rules as they are somewhat complicated. Always check WDFW emergency rule changes on line, the rules change fast. If you can trailer your boat there are so many possibilities. Good luck.

I’ve been guided for salmon in tillimook bay. Garribaldi is close to the mouth of the bay.
Many fish close to the mouth.
Outside the mouth you deal w ocean conditions and equip needs to be running top notch for saftey reasons.
Guides recommend private boaters try to be there to learn channels during a minus tide event.
Many shallow sand bars to spend the day on till next high tide.
Side advantage is if stuck, step out and you may be able to harvest some clams.
Due to oyster farming and it’s harvest there is much seaweed that messes w you.
Our 6 man group one year found the nets out of the water and the fish found us w 130 lbs of fillets to split up.
Flashers and spinners were the order of the day. Rip lip and hang on!
