Who of you fellow Stagers have owned a Concept 13 Baitcasting reel and can you give me a review of the reel. Iโ€™ve been a Curado 200 user for a while but am interested in the other reel. Thanks๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Weโ€™ll 30 people have looked at the post. Maybe they donโ€™t have a clue what a Concept 13 A-2 is. So be it, Iโ€™ll look elsewhere, thanks๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

El Rod I have no personal experience with one. From what I've read about them they're supposed to be a decent reel. What I do is look up reviews on what ever make n model I'm interested in. I just looked up some round reels last night. Watch videos of them being tested. Good luck in your search ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Glad I could help El Rod. Most brand names come from the same plants as the new kids that have joined the party. Some are brand loyal n that's fine. If I can get something for half price that works as good I'll give it a try.

I along with my sons all have Concept 13, C3โ€™s and they are bullet proof. We also have the original Curado 200โ€™s and still use them.

Thank you very much. Iโ€™m looking at the A-2 to fish lures for Reds and Trout.
Iโ€™ve been hearing about how well they cast. I just went through cleaning, new bearings for my Curado 200 and Iโ€™ve been very happy with it. I just want another rod and reel for kayak fishing and wade fishing. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™ve used them in both salt & fresh water for bass. No issues at all, and excellent price point. They have some wild colors too if looking for something from the norm

I own two concept reels. I owned lews speed spools. The concept reels are the best reels I've used. Smooth as butter, and cut a mile. I fish for a lot of hybrid stripers and this reel has no problem. Twenty lbs of drag. No steel bearings.

Hello Elrod. I do know what a 13 fishing Concept reel is as I have a very nice one. I prefer old school round reels such as Shimano Calcutta's and Abu Garcia. Earlier this summer i made a great purchase at our local flea market. It was a 7 ft Kiestler med hvy rod sporting a 13 fishing concept reel. Both were new with a price of a whoping $35. I cleaned and oiled the reel and loaded it with 20 lb test Pro line with an 8 ft leader of 14 lb flurocarbon. I tied on a practice plug and was immediately taken by the smoothness of the reel and the distance I was able to cast. I used the reel on several trips to the lake and loaned it to my neighbor for a tournament. He landed several good fish on the reel plus a drum that went 7 or 8 pounds. I'm not fishing much right now in this 100 degree heat and next week we have temperatures approaching 110 degrees. I will give the reel some good use in a few weeks when the temperature drops. I have another 13 fishing reel, a black Betty ice fishing reel. We don't have ice here but it's a wonderful dock fishing reel for crappie. I've used it 2 or 3 years and the reel has earned it's keep. Tight lines.

Hello Grizz. I've been haunting that flea market for 30 years & have found an occasional deal. This makes my 2nd kiestler rod. I have found them to be very sensitive & strong. I like using the keistler for wacky worming. Several years ago I purchased a Sage flyrod for $6 at this same market. My son snatched it up as I don't fly fish. Tight lines.

BC you've made some great buy. I rarely go but around here I find most want to much for their stuff. May have to go a few time. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
